Singapore Got Hawker by Tess Moh
Based on Grant Wood's American Gothic, this piece aims to celebrate and appreciate Singapore's hawker culture – a fundamental aspect of its national identity. The father-daughter duo depicted here represents the Singaporean commitment to preserve this unifying culture, with the added hope of having it successfully recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
